A GARDEN centre will be welcoming youngsters for a Hallowe'en pumpkin trail from next weekend.

There will be six carved pumpkins to find around Cardwell Garden Centre in Greenock and everyone who spots them all will be entered into a prize draw to win a fabulous "Spooky Goody Bag".

The fun starts on October 24 and runs every day until Sunday, November 1.

Paul Carmichael, Cardwell’s retail general manager, said: “We can’t wait to have some spooktacular fun and we hope youngsters will get in the Hallowe'en spirit by coming along in fancy dress.

“Let’s use our trail to put a smile on everyone’s face.

“We’ll make sure everyone taking part in the trail stays socially distanced and there is a host of measures we’ve taken in the centre to make sure everyone stays safe.”

The garden centre is also introducing a special Goulish lunch menu in their Patio Cafe; creating a Hallowe'en display with witches and a bubbling cauldron and giving everyone the chance to buy their own pumpkin to take home to carve a funny or frightening face.
