A person was hit by a train last night between Paisley Gilmour Street and Glasgow Central.
The line was temporarily closed after emergency services were called to the scene before 10pm.
The individual's condition is not currently known.
It reopened in just over an hour, causing minor delays.
A ScotRail spokeswoman said last night: "The line has now reopened and we're working hard to get services running back to schedule.
"Some delays are still expected as some of our crew members are now out of position. Thank you for your patience this evening."
