Celtic were woeful in defeat this afternoon as Rangers dominated in an impressive 2-0 win at Parkhead.

Connor Goldson's double saw off a passive Hoops outfit on a day the hosts did not register a single shot on target throughout the 90 minutes. Neil Lennon's side had some trouble in the build-up to the game through Covid-19 and losing a handful of players who would usually have played including star midfielder Ryan Christie.

But the players who did play were nowhere near their usual selves and hardly provided an attacking threat.

Fans, though unable to watch the game from the stands, were absolutely furious with their players on the back of the action and took to social media to blast their efforts.

One complained: "Dire performance from Celtic today. Depressing that there was no passion or aggression. Dismal." Another added: "Nae complaints, worthy Gers win. We were awful, u guys had a professional win. Any OF manager who has no shots on goal in a second half should be sacked in my book."

One impatient supporter wrote: "Absolutely embarrassing for Celtic today. No shots on target in a Glasgow derby is an embarrassment - regardless of the circumstances. Outperformed, outfought, outclassed."

A fourth snapped: "Clueless, woeful, shocking! All on Lennon again."
