A man was seriously attacked in a Glasgow park last night. 

Emergency services were called to Tollcross Park around 7.55pm, October 17. 

The 44-year-old was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment of serious injuries. 

A probe has been launched into the incident.

A spokesman said: "Police were called around 7.55pm on Saturday, 17 October, 2020, following the report of a 44-year-old man being seriously assaulted in Tollcross Park, Glasgow.

"Officers attended and the man was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment to serious injuries.

"Enquiries are currently ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident."
