THE Mitchell Library is set to reopen after eight months of closure.

The landmark city centre library will reopen on Tuesday, October 27, Glasgow Life as announced. 

The body, which runs Glasgow's sport, leisure and cultural facilitieshad hoped to reopen the library at the beginning of October but was pushed back to next week.

Visitors will now need to pre-book visits for computer access, special collections, general collection, the business centre, the city archives and independent study desks.

The library will be closed Sundays and Mondays and will be open the rest of the week from 11am to 3pm.
