AN investigation has been launched after the front door of a Renfrew home was deliberately set alight.
A 42-year-old resident was inside the house in Birch Way at around 9.40pm on Tuesday when the incident took place.
A crew from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service was able to put out the flames before anyone was injured.
Police have confirmed the incident is being treated as wilful fireraising.
Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information or dashcam footage of the area around the time of the incident is asked to contact police on 101.
