A HEALTH board has revealed it is treating more patients for coronavirus in hospital now than at the height of the pandemic's first wave.
NHS Lanarkshire says it currently has more than 200 patients with confirmed covid-19 in its hospitals now.
Bosses have released a video on social media calling saying its emergency departments are "exceptionally busy".
It called for the support of patients and visitors to help reduce the risk in hospitals by only attending accident and emergency for serious conditions.
Patients are advised to use community health services such as GP practices and pharmacies.
The video also asks people to remember FACTS - face coverings, avoid crowded places, clean your hands regularly, clean your hands regularly and self-isolate and book a test if you have any symptoms.
We are currently treating more patients for Covid-19 in our hospitals, than we were at the height of the first wave of the pandemic. With your help, we can reduce the risk of Covid-19 in our hospitals. #WeAreScotland #StickWithItScotland pic.twitter.com/LNPCJLXMBE
