Business owners in Dennistoun have come together to start a local trader’s association.
The group are aiming to promote the role of local businesses in the area. They also hope to attract people from other areas of Glasgow to the East End as well as encouraging local people to support businesses. Following their inaugural meeting, the forum will be focusing on a campaign to encourage people to shop local in the run up to the festive period.
Councillor Allan Casey who is spearheading the trader’s association said:”I have been encouraged by the support we have received from local business in Dennistoun on the establishment of the local Traders association. Over the coming months the association will be supporting a “Love Local” campaign to encourage residents to shop local and help support local independent businesses the festive period.”
