GLASWEGIANS woke up to the most picturesque sunrise this morning - and captured the stunning moment on camera.

Hundreds of images flooded social media showing off the bright pink/red sky which took over the city's skyline

First Minister Nicola Sturgeon said: "The morning sky over Glasgow.

Another local Halina Rifai said: "Glasgow South Side, if you can go to your window or outside and look at the sky right now."

TV presenter Kaye Adams joked, "I hate rush hour." as she shared an image of the beautiful sky scene from the city's West End.
