AN owl fell out of the sky and landed in Mitchell Street, according to animal rescue workers.
The long-eared owl was "a bit concussed" after falling into the city centre street yesterday morning.
The Hessilhead Wildlife Rescue centre in Beith were surprised by the casualty.

A worker at the centre said: "He's looking quite bright today. He didn't eat anything last night but he's been quite active today."
Workers posted to the centre's Facebook page: "This long-eared owl was a surprise casualty from Glasgow this morning.
"Apparently, it just fell out of the sky and landed in Mitchell Street, a bit concussed."
