GREENOCK bus firm McGill's marked Remembrance week by presenting a donation to veterans’ charity Erskine.

Owners Sandy and James Easdale handed over a cheque for £1,000 to Karen McAulay, fundraising manager, and Jim Watret, community manager at Erskine.

McGill’s also showed off the poppies currently displayed on 18 of the vehicles within their fleet.

Sandy Easdale said: “The work of Erskine in caring for those who served their country is renowned and we’re pleased to be able to make a contribution to the charity.

“McGill’s also continues to offer all-year free travel to all serving Armed Forces personnel, demonstrating our gratitude for their service.”

James Easdale added: “Erskine staff and families of residents at the home are regulars on our bus services every day and we wanted to demonstrate our thanks – especially during the pandemic.
