SCOTTISH music stars are coming together to raise money for charity at this year’s Scottish Music Awards.
Oldies such as Wet Wet Wet, Dougie MacLean of Caledonia fame and Texas will join Lewis Capaldi, Biffy Clyro and Amy MacDonald to raise funds for Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy.
The charity currently expects to lose 75% of its funding due to the coronavirus pandemic restricting its usual fundraising efforts.
The Scottish Music Awards, sponsored by Specsavers, will be hosted by Edith Bowman on St Andrew’s Day at SWG3.
Audiences will be able to watch the event online and DJ George Bowie will host an afterparty to finish up the event.
Bowie, who is up for the charity’s Legend Award, said: “It really is a privilege, but the song Heroes was recorded for the real legends of 2020, the NHS and frontline workers who have kept us all going.
“I’d like to honour all the forgotten people in the music industry - the crew, the engineers, the roadies, the techs, the merch sellers, the venue staff, everyone - they’ve all been ignored by far too many.”
