Christmas shoppers have been pictured flooding Buchanan Street this afternoon as the city awaits an update on whether or not we will enter tier four of coronavirus lockdown restrictions.
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon will confirm at today's daily coronavirus briefing in Parliament if Glasgow will face Covid-19 limitations similar to those imposed nationwide earlier this year.
Tier four - the highest level of the restrictions system - will mean a temporary shutdown of all non-essential businesses in a bid to bring the number of Covid-19 cases within the region down again.
Keen Christmas punters have been spotted on the city's busiest shopping streets ahead of the announcement.
