George Square was glowing last night as the Christmas lights were switched on for the festive season virtually.
Clyde 1 star George Bowie and his sidekick Cassi joined Lord Provost Philip Braat and council worker Theresa Glasgow to mark the occasion.
For the first time, the event moved online due to the pandemic as the group flicked the switch inside the city chambers.
Speaking in an online video, the Lord Provost said: "As we know the Christmas lights swich-on is going to be very, very different. We will not be able to hold the massive event we normally have each year on George Square.
"The light switch-on event is always the most popular event in the Glasgow festive calendar."
