TWO children have been rushed to hospital after being hit by a car on a busy East End road.
The youngsters, whose condition is unknown at this time, were involved in a crash on Duke Street, near Shettleston Road, at around 4.45pm today.
Officers have locked down the area, near the Forge Shopping Centre, with the kids taken to the Royal Hospital for Children.
Shettleston Road to the Biggar Street roundabout and Duke Street between Todd Street and Shettleston Road all remain closed.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: "We were made aware of a crash involving a car and two pedestrians, both children, around 4.45pm on Thursday, 18 November.
"Emergency services are currenty at the scene and the road is currently closed. Both children will be taken to the Royal Hospital for Children for treatment."
