THOUSANDS of the city’s most vulnerable were given a helping hand last year by generous readers of the Glasgow Times. 

We asked and you delivered, providing 5000 goodie bags full of food and essential items in our first ever Bank On Us Campaign.

The kindness of our supporters ensured foodbanks across the city were able to cope with increased demand during the festive period. 

We were amazed – but not surprised – by the generosity of the people of Glasgow who went above and beyond the call of duty.

Their support was backed across the political spectrum, praised in parliament by Anas Sarwar, and supported by a whole host of MSPs, including Shettleston man John Mason. 

But, none of it would have been possible without our readers and our partners. For that, we remain eternally grateful.
