RENFREWSHIRE pensioners are beating boredom with a new colouring book.
Bosses at Renfrewshire Leisure have distributed “Colouring Renfrewshire” to care home residents, sheltered housing and older people’s organisations. The book contains pictures of old industry and history in the area.
The book contains drawings that will spark memories among the older generation throughout Renfrewshire. Local artists Chris Manson, Stuart Hatt, Maureen Rocks-Moore, Kay Nicolson, Joy Rae, Jane McInally, Mandy Sinclair and Joy Nevada all have drawings in the book.
Pamela Givan, Renfrewshire Leisure Arts Outreach Worker said: “The Colouring Renfrewshire book is aimed at older residents, or those currently shielding to share memories and stories. However Renfrewshire residents of all ages can enjoy the book and have a go at colouring in their favourite picture.
“It’s an ideal way to get creative and hold close what is dear to us in these uncertain times. We hope that when people start colouring in the book, they will recall days gone by and share those memories.”
