While popular retailer Costco was queued out in Springburn with many shoppers bulk buying items to keep them stocked up for the next three weeks of lockdown.
The rush to the shops comes after Nicola Sturgeon announced on Tuesday that non-essential retailers will close.
The move has been introduced to curb the spread of coronavirus in Glasgow and areas outside the city which have all moved into level four.
