A CITY teenager has helped a team of volunteers to deliver more than 50,000 meals to vulnerable people across Glasgow.

Martin Dover, 17, from Giffnock, was so moved by the dedication of NHS workers during lockdown he wanted to take action to help make a difference.

Teaming up with the charity Go Dharmic, he helped them deliver to the homeless and families in need, including 10,000 food packs to Govan Road School Campus, comprising St Saviour’s Primary, Riverside Primary and Broomloan Nursery.

Brian Tracey, Headteacher of St Saviour’s Primary School said: ‘We have been extremely impressed by the effort, goodwill and organisation of everyone involved. For someone who still attends high school, Martin’s drive and enthusiasm is inspiring and worthy of recognition.”
