A 34-year-old man has died after a fatal road crash on the A82.
Emergency services attended a report of a crash on the westbound carriageway near Duntocher at around 5.05pm on Monday, November 23.
The man, a pedestrian, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police have launched an appeal for information from other drivers who were in the area at the time of the crash.
The male driver of the car was uninjured.
The road was closed for several hours as crash scene investigators carried out enquiries at the scene of the collision.
A 40-year-old man has been arrested in connection with road traffic offences.
Sergeant Paul MacPherson from Police Scotland said: “An investigation is under way to establish the circumstances of this incident and I am appealing for anyone who was in the area around the time it occurred to contact us.
"In particular, if you have a dash cam, please check your footage as it could hold images which could assist us in our investigation.”
Anyone with information is asked to call road policing officers via 101, quoting incident number 2255 of Monday, November 23 2020.
