In a video posted to Twitter, the Geordie striker said: "Hi Kai, it's Gazza here.

"Do us a favour, please get home. People are missing you."

Meanwhile, search parties have been launched in a bid to find Kai Rae, who has been missing since Monday.

The 16-year old was last seen on Monday morning at around 8.50am in Castle Chimmins Road in Cambuslang.

His family are increasingly worried for the young boy's safety and the community has rallied to help them hunt him down.

Police described him as being of a slim build, around five feet and six inches tall, with short brown hair.
