Neil Lennon is set to lead Celtic for their Europa League clash against AC Milan on Thursday.
The Daily Record report that Hoops chiefs have given him a vote of confidence after Sunday's shock defeat to Ross County in the Betfred Cup.
Fans gathered outside the stadium on Sunday calling for Lennon to be sacked.
Dozens of officers and police vehicles formed a barrier as club staff left the ground.
No arrests were made and the three injured officers did not require medical attention.
The Parkhead club said in a later statement that some players were left “shaken” after being targeted by missiles while footage showed some fans kicking down and throwing barriers.
We told tonight how Martin O'Neill is the new bookies favourite to land the Parkhead hotseat if Lennon was to be sacked.
Hibs boss Jack Ross is also in the running with his odds being slashed in recent hours.
