AS an NHS administrator I don’t appreciate being singled out by JP B2019 as someone not deserving of the £500 bonus (Letters, December 2).

I’ve come to my work on public transport every day to do my job ensuring children are called for their immunisations. It might be better not to make such sweeping generalisations when you clearly don’t have all the facts.

I agree that supermarket staff deserve a bonus for their hard work, but surely that’s down to the supermarkets to award this? We’ve all worked hard, so don’t single people out as undeserving when it’s not true.

SOME airlines have been saying that everyone flying with them will have to produce proof that they have had the vaccine. On this occasion I would fully support that as it would provide some reassurance as we try to get back to some level of normality.

I would go further and say that this should be the case for venues like pubs, theatres and football grounds. Before the accusations of tyranny get going, we need to create an environment in which people feel comfortable in getting back to normal and at the same time countering the lunacy from the anti-vaccine and anti-restrictions lobby whose primary function is create fear and panic.

IF wind power is so efficient why don’t we see the Scottish government investing in their own wind power generator, a nationalised company and building them in Scotland in a purpose-built factory with the latest equipment where no politicians will interfere with the running of the factory?

Let’s have no more betrayal of the workforce or the people who put these people in well-paid jobs in politics. We have far too many of them. They were supposed to look after our best interests, not send work abroad. Lets have no more pussyfooting under the table with China, a country that imprisons people like me who dare point out what the government is doing.

They are wasting an opportunity to rebuild our industry and re-employ the men who built the North Sea platforms. Our reward was a P45 and not a word of thanks from the government. Time we voted for people who put Scots first and don’t sell us out to the highest bidder. Time they all wrote a CV when standing to be elected to a seat on the gravy train.
