A little girl who asked Santa for chicken nuggets last year on her Christmas list now wants a chicken wrap - and for coronavirus to 'pack its bags'.

Zoey Thomson, eight, is described as a 'wee character' by her mum Danielle, 28.

The schoolgirl, from Glasgow's South Side, penned a letter to Santa with a detailed toy list, and also requested a sewing machine and a hoverboard.

But the eccentric list of requests included a chicken wrap and 'for covid to pack its bags'.

Glasgow Times:

The letter read: “Please can I get for Christmas Blume Dolls and Hatchimals and maybe a hoverboard in any colour if you have time to make it please.

“Please can I get a Cry Baby Doll and Dig Up Monsters and please please can I get a sewing machine cause I want to make a few dresses.

“Please can I get the game Operation and Harry Potter Lego and LOL dolls.

“Remember I asked for chicken nuggets well Santa now I love chicken wraps.

"One more thing please Santa can you make coronavirus go pack its bags and leave forever.

"Merry Christmas Santa.”

Mum-of-one Danielle, a child practitioner, said: “It’s a toy list but she’s also asked for chicken wraps.

“It’s absolutely crazy, we’ve had people from all over the world commenting.

“It’s been a wonderful response.

“She’s a wee character.

“It’s said about the coronavirus but the letter’s really funny.

Glasgow Times:

“Since she’s been able to write, from around four, she’s written Santa letters.

“A couple of years ago she asked Santa for chicken nuggets, but she now wants chicken wraps.

“She likes her McDonald’s.

“The main things she’s wanting are a sewing machine and a hoverboard.”

After Danielle posted it on Facebook one person wrote: “I could also go for a chicken wrap and coronavirus banished! Bless her!”

Another commented: “Great handwriting and I hope she gets all she asked for.”
