Today marked history as the first person in Glasgow was vaccinted against coronavirus - and she happened to be a frontline worker.

Forty-eight-year-old Paula McMahon has been working endlessly to protect schoolchildren and others from illness for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.

Today, she was the first person within the health board region to be vaccinated against the virus via the Pfizer/BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine.

She was surrounded by fellow frontliners at a two-meter distance at the NHS Louisa Jordan as they watched a moment of history.

Paula said: "It's an honour, I got my jab and then straight after I gave one.

"You do feel it's a wee bit of history. I will remember it for years in the future."
