A POPULAR Anniesland pub is to be transformed into a new gourmet burger joint.
The beloved Signal Bar is starting a new venture as the Temple Burger Co, which will sell handmade gourmet burgers.
A new kitchen is currently being fitted in the pub – which is affectionately known as the Siggy to locals – which will allow the pub to operate a delivery and takeaway restaurant.
It’s hoped the restaurant
will be able to open fully next year.
The future of the pub has been in question since Glasgow City Council approved planning for permission to demolish the venue.
The site at 176 Fulton Street was to be transformed into flats.
A petition calling for the council to reject the plan gathered more than 400 signatures.
