A CELTIC fan has gone viral on social media after performing the slosh in his pants.

Gary Doherty, 56, from Drumoyne, asked his wife Angela to film him as he performed the dance to fan favourite Beautiful Sunday.

Originally by Daniel Boone, the song was remixed by Clyde 1 presenter Cassi G and stormed to number 1 in the UK charts ahead of Mariah Carey and Liam Gallagher. All proceeds from the downloads will go to children’s charity Cash for Kids.

Gary revealed that the video was taken on Friday evening. The video has now attracted interest from fans after Celtic’s winning cup final match on Sunday.
The video has now appeared on fan page “Glasgow Celtic Champions” with over 200k views and over 3000 likes and shares.

He said: “It didn’t even enter my mind. People have put two and two together here and thought it was something to do with Sunday’s game. I just did it was a bit of a laugh. It was just meant to be a bit of fun.

“It’s tied in perfectly with the result though - especially as I’m a Celtic fan.”
Appearing to be in a celebratory mood, Gary also revealed that he only had two sips of the beer that he was filmed with.

Gary added: “I only took two slugs out of the beer and that was only so I never got any on the carpet. I was stone cold sober.”

Gary has been no stranger to viral videos this year. Around three weeks into lockdown, Gary filmed a similar video of himself called “Party in my pants” which he performed to Scottish club classic Bits & Pieces after hearing it on George Bowie’s GBX .

Gary said: “I just decided to do a video because the song was number one on the iTunes downloads charts and it was just a bit of a laugh. "

He was filmed dancing in his living room with a bottle of MD 20/20. But Gary has revealed the bottle was actually full of orange diluting juice.

Gary also receives merchandise from gambling website Paddy Power regularly which often forms the basis of his videos. The pants he is pictured in were sent to him by the company.

He has no plans to make any videos in the near future but has warned readers to watch this space.
