PLANS have been submitted to open a takeaway in Baillieston.
Developers are bidding to transform an existing charity shop into the eatery at 137 Glasgow Road.
The proposals would see the current Barnardo’s store replaced with a hot food unit.
In documents submitted to council planning chiefs, developers wrote: “The proposed development will see the introduction of a hot food takeaway into the group.
“The property is essentially a two bay unit and access to the unit will continue to be via the existing front door off of the walkway.
“Inside there will be a full width servery which will separate the customer area from the kitchen.
“Externally, the only change will be the introduction of an extraction flute.
“It is anticipated opening hours will be Sunday to Thursday 10am until 11pm and Friday and Saturday 10am until 12am.”
The application is due to be considered by February 16 with the last date for comments Thursday, January 21.
