More than 2000 have people tested positive for coronavirus on New Years Day
There have been a total of 2,137 new positive cases of Covid-19.
A further 21,451 tests reported results, of which 10.8% were positive.
It follows "worryingly high" numbers of cases over the past week, with a record-breaking high of daily cases reported on Thursday with 2,622 positive tests.
Concerns were raised the new variant of Covid-19 was "accelerating" the spread of the virus.
The Scottish Government has limited the data published over holiday weekends to the number of cases and the positivity rate.
Figures from the weekend will be published on Tuesday.
