A WOMAN was found dead on a footpath near a residential neighbourhood in the East End this morning.
Police taped off the street after her body was found near Mainhill Drive at 8.40am.
It is understood neighbouring streets have been taped off by officers at the scene as they probe the cause of her death.

Her death is being treated as unexplained and police have launched an investigation.
A police spokesman said: "We received a report about the body of a woman found on a public footpath in Mainhill Drive at 8.40am on Tuesday, January 5.
"She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
"A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal in due course."
