WHILE I have every sympathy with NHS staff stuck in queues awaiting Covid vaccinations, it seems a little churlish of the nurse quoted in the Glasgow Times the other day to moan about it, and of Monica Lennon MSP to wade in just to have a dig at the Scottish Government.
I’m sure everyone is working flat out to make this vaccination programme happen as quickly and as efficiently as possible in really difficult circumstances.
I doubt patient care was compromised. Sometimes we all just need to stop whining, get our heads down and get on with it.

I HAVE been following your stories on the Glasgow Covid cases every week and I have noticed some areas always seem to be high and some always seem to be low.
I wonder why this is and what are people in these areas doing for that to be the case?

GLAD to see that England is now publicising daily vaccination figures down south.
It is vital for uptake that these are made public and will increase public confidence in the vaccine drive we so badly need to get us out of this dreadful situation.
I’d like to see the Scottish Government publish these figures daily, not least of all because it’s a welcome bit of good news in dark times.

I HAVE to agree with Catriona Stewart on the issue of Celtic going to Dubai. It is a slap in the face to not only fans but the general public too.
They may have had approval, but the saying “read the room” comes to mind. So many people have either lost their job or have been placed under strict restrictions, it boggles
the mind that they thought this was a good idea.

I AM so disappointed to see the closure of nurseries throughout Scotland.
If England can have them open, why can’t we? These governments need to come up with a coherent plan.
Families are being left in the lurch because they cannot get this virus over control.

I DON’T think people should have to take their annual leave to look after their kids if the schools are shut. Why are these companies not making use of the furlough scheme?
