Scans have revealed that Arfield has sustained ankle ligament damage following Gers' league victory over Hibs last month.
Roofe was substituted during the Old Firm match on January 2 and he will miss Rangers' next two games at least.
Gerrard also confirmed that Ryan Jack is making good progress and he is expected to return to the Rangers first team squad soon.
