A MAN is accused of assaulting a new born baby girl by biting her on the head and striking her with a fork.

Goman Dodili, 24, allegedly assaulted the tot at a property in Kelvinhaugh from her date of birth in January 2020 until March.

Prosecutors claim Dodili pinched the baby on the body and bit her on the head.

Other allegations include Dodili pressing and squeezing her body as well as seizing and shaking her.

The charge also states Dodili pulled her and threatened to harm her.

It is then claimed he struck her head and body with his hand.
