A RACIST lout who hurled sectarian abuse at police officers minutes after taking a fit avoided jail.

Alexander McKenzie, 41, was caught hiding a 7.5-inch bladed knife under a car in Govan on August 21 this year.

He had earlier taken a seizure at his sister’s house before fleeing the property with the weapon

McKenzie later called officers “dirty fenian b******s” and “black English b******s” after his arrest.

McKenzie pleaded guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday to the unlawful possession of a knife and behaving in a threatening or abusive manner.

He was put under supervision for two years by Sheriff Brian Cameron.

An earlier hearing was told McKenzie went to his sister’s property while intoxicated and behaved erratically.

Prosecutor Emily MacReath stated he went into the kitchen before falling to the floor.

She added: “His sister believed he was having a fit and after coming round he took hold of a knife.

“She was able to take it off him but he grabbed a larger knife and left the property.”

His concerned sister dialled 999 before McKenzie was found by police.

McKenzie became abusive towards the two officers before making the racist and sectarian jibes

He also stated he would “f***ing murder" the constables.
