A MAN will stand trial accused of trying to blackmail a woman and threatening to reveal an intimate video of her.

Ahmed Boroujerdi, 47, is said to have ordered the alleged victim to pay him money or he would disclose a video to her friends and family between October 5 and June 5, 2019.

Prosecutors claim Boroujerdi attempted to induce her to deliver the money and attempted to extort her at a property in Glasgow’s Garthamlock.

Bouroujerdi also faces an alternative charge of threatening to disclose an intimate video of the woman.

The charge states the video had not previously been disclosed to the public by her or with her consent.

It is further claimed Boroujerdi threatened to show her family and friends the footage.

The charge lastly states he intended to cause her, or were reckless as to whether, she would be caused fear, alarm or distress.

Boroujerdi pleaded not guilty today at Glasgow Sheriff Court.

A trial was set for August this year by Sheriff Ian Fleming who continued Boroujerdi’s remand meantime.
