A MAN carried out a brutal murder bid on his partner at her home.
Brian Ivison stabbed Nicola Renwick 11 times with a steak knife during the attack in Newton Mearns, East Renfrewshire on December 8, 2019.
Ivison was discovered after the incident by police sitting on the kerb outside.

The 38-year-old stated: “I think I have just murdered my wife.
“I’m past the point of giving a f***. She’s dead.”
Prosecutor Ruth Charteris QC told the High Court in Glasgow that Nicola suffered wounds to her head, neck, chest and arm as well as a collapsed lung.
She also had a fracture near her eye.
Ivison, also of Newton Mearns, today pleaded guilty to attempted murder.
He will be sentenced next month.
