TWO men are due in court after police discovered a large cannabis farm in Lanarkshire industrial estate. 

Cops seized around 500 plants - with an estimated street value of £300,000 - from a commercial unit in Railway Road, Airdrie. 

Two men, aged 29 and 37 years, were arrested and charged in connection with the find and are due to appear in the dock at Airdrie Sheriff Court today.

Police say a report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal. 

Sergeant Ross Edgar of Lanarkshire Police Division said: "We remain committed to tackling the production and sale of drugs across Lanarkshire and I would like to thank the public for their continued assistance in providing us with information that helps us carry out enforcement activity.
