Over 4000 positive coronavirus cases have been recorded in Glasgow in the past seven days.
According to official figures, 4033 confirmed cases have been identified within the health board region from this time last week.
It comes as the city recorded a further 636 infections in the past 24 hours.
In neighbouring health board region Lanarkshire, 2188 cases were recorded in the past week.
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon warned yesterday that Scotland's R number could be as high as 1.4. However, she added it will not yet take account of new lockdown restrictions which have been in place for the past few weeks.
Meanwhile the Health Secretary said there had now been 224,840 people vaccinated with a a first Covid dose.
A total of 3331 people in Scotland have received a second dose of their Covid-19 vaccination - 141 more than the 3,190 announced on Wednesday.
