SIX members of staff at a Glasgow warehouse have tested positive for coronavirus.

The employees of Euro Car Parts, in Baillieston, are self-isolating at home. 

A further 10 staff members are also self-isolating after being in close contact with someone who tested positive. 

The company have carried out a deep clean of the branch.

A spokesman for LKQ Euro Car Parts said: “We can confirm that there have been six positive cases among our staff at our Baillieston branch, two of whom are family members from the same household.

"As soon as we were made aware of people displaying symptoms we asked them all to self-isolate and not come into work. 

“Our team was in immediate contact with NHS Scotland Track and Trace and subsequently identified 10 other employees that those with positive test results had been in close contact with, and who are all now self-isolating.

"We also initiated a deep clean of the branch as soon as we became aware of the first positive case. 

“The safety of our colleagues and customers is our number one priority and Baillieston, as with all of our branches across the UK, has been set-up to operate in a Covid-secure way and always in line with the latest guidance."
