Paddy Power have suspended betting on Eddie Howe replacing Neil Lennon as Celtic boss.
The Hoops manager watched his side ship more points in a 2-2 draw with Livingston yesterday.
The result saw the club fall 20 points behind rivals Rangers with two games in hand. Howe has been backed into 2/7 odds-on favourite with the Irish bookmakers as well as a whopping 1/10 with Betfair.
And the bookie confirmed to Herald and Times that betting had been suspended.
Spokesman Paddy Power said: “With his boyish good looks, his perfect annunciation and, crucially, history of taking a club from the doldrums into the big time, Eddie Howe looks the part for Celtic.
“Obviously, the ‘duldrums’ at Celtic Park is second place in the Premiership and a cup win, and Eddie has yet to prove himself away from his beloved south coast.”
It comes as Betfair also suspended bets on Howe becoming Celtic's new man in charge, as confirmed by the bookmaker.
