A MAN was hospitalised following a disturbance in Springburn involving a gang of youths. 

We told last week how emergency services responded to a report of a disturbance involving several people in Balgrayhill Road on Friday night. 

Police are now hunting for a gang of youths involved in the incident, who fled before officers arrived at the scene close to the derelict Talisman pub.

The man was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary to be checked over. It is understood he was not seriously injured. 

Officers are investigating the incident and are trying to establish the circumstances surrounding it. 

A spokesman for the force said: "At around 7.05pm on Friday, January 22, police were called to a disturbance involving a man and a group of youths in Balgrayhill Road, Glasgow.

"Emergency services attended and the man was taken by ambulance to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary to be checked over. The group dispersed prior to police arrival and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland through 101, quoting incident number 3078 of Friday, January 22, 2021."
