POLICE have warned about the dangers of nitrous oxide after several canisters have been found in Renfrewshire.
A number of canisters, which usually contain the gas, have been recovered in and around the Inchinnan area.
Officers say the gas can be dangerous and can cause unconscious.
In a post on Facebook, Renfrewshire and Inverclyde Police Division said: "A number of unmarked canisters, like the ones pictured, have been recovered in and around the Inchinnan area.

"Containers such as these are known to contain nitrous oxide which is a colourless gas which when used for an unintended purpose can be dangerous.
"Misuse of nitrous oxide slows down your brain and your body’s responses which can cause dizziness, severe headaches and difficulties thinking straight. Risks include falling unconscious or suffocation from lack of oxygen.
"If residents see any suspicious activity that they think could be linked to substance misuse, please contact police on 101.
