KIND-hearted residents in Springburn decided to go out and help vehicles stuck on a snowy hill last night.

Lisa Hamilton and her neighbours Eric and Marie Donnelly were pushing and guiding cars who were struggling to move on Edgefauld Road.

Their kids - Allie, 16, Aaron, 15, Mirren, 14, and Finn, five - joined their parents in helping out.

When a bus driver finally managed to make it up the hill, the group were cheering him on.

Lisa said: "We have been stuck on the hill ourselves, so we went with our kids to go help.

"A bus was already stuck on the wrong side of the road and three cars where trying to reverse so we dicided to help and more cars came.

"Some we had a laugh with. Eric was guiding them with gears etc.

"The poor bus driver was doing braw until another car got in the way so he had to stop then the video speaks for itself.

"We were cheering and three other people who walked by joined in too."

Marie added: "We all came home happy knowing we had done a good job, especially with helping one young girl who was terrified."

Meanwhile, more helpful residents were at the bottom of the vehicles throwing grit over the road.

The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for snow until Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Transport Scotland has warned of long delays as well as cancellations to bus and rail services.

Greater Glasgow Police Division asked people to take care on the roads today.

The force said: "In severe weather only drive if necessary. If you are driving ensure your brakes, tyres, lights, batteries & wiper blades are in good condition and keep screen wash topped up. Stay #WeatherAware #KeepingPeopleSafe"
