A GROUP of thugs stormed into a home in a quiet estate and threatened its owners with weapons.

The armed brutes made off with thousands of pounds in cash after raiding the property in Chryston, North Lanarkshire, yesterday.

Four men forced their way into a house on Grayston Manor at around 7.50pm and then escaped in a burgundy Citroen Picasso, which was later found abandoned.
