EARLY spring sunshine enjoyed by Glaswegians this week is set to turn to rain and winds of up to 45mph over the next two days.

The Met Office has issued a 'be aware' yellow weather warning across Scotland and Northern Ireland.

The forecaster has warned that there could be transport delays with journeys by train and bus set to take a little longer.

As well as that, high sided vehicles are urged to plan alternative routes as bridges are also set to be affected.

Coastal areas are likely to experience sea spray and large waves and some "short-term" loss of power could be possible.

Wet weather into Wednesday could also result in flooding, spray and difficult driving conditions and a slight chance of rail and bus services being delayed or cancelled as a result.
