It was another dismal evening for Celtic in their Premiership campaign on Sunday as they fell to a 1-0 defeat at Ross County.

Jordan White's header sealed the points for the Staggies in the second-half but Neil Lennon's men struggled to break down their opponents and looked seriously bereft of confidence.

There was nowhere to hide again for Lennon and his troops who now languish 18 points behind Rangers in the title race.

A 2-1 win over St Johnstone last weekend was secured by an Odsonne Edouard brace and a decent defensive display, perhaps an aspect of Celtic's season that has been lacking in recent months. But the Frenchman was nowhere to be seen in Dingwall.

We here at Glasgow Times Sport take a look at this week's Celtic Stock Market once again where we look at whose stock has risen - sigh - and whose has dropped after another week of action.

UP

1. David Turnbull

Genuinely about the only Hoops ace who looked like a Celtic player this week. And, in fairness, the midfielder got lucky following Ross County's win that he'd managed to score in midweek at home to Aberdeen.

In the UP column because his long-range drive against the Dons secured three points for his side at Parkhead. He's never afraid to shoot from anywhere, an important part of his game. He played 90 minutes in Dingwall, but couldn't get going. Created a handful of chances for his teammates but wasn't his usual self. Still, best of a bad bunch this week.

Glasgow Times:

2. Scott Bain

Kept a clean sheet at home to Aberdeen, which was a genuine achievement, considering the Dons had some really good chances of their own as Celtic won 1-0. Dived bravely at the feet of Lewis Ferguson at the death to keep him out.

Could do nothing with County goal as rooted to his line but made a terrific save to thwart Blair Spittal in the first-half.

He's been in and out of the team recently with Vasilis Barkas struggling big time and Conor Hazard given an opportunity to show what he can do. But the ex-Hibs man obviously wants to nail down the starting berth for the foreseeable future despite around £5million being spent on his Greek teammate.

DOWN

1. Neil Lennon

It really does go from bad to worse for the Celtic manager who, despite his side winning five on the bounce before Ross County, couldn't prevent them losing for a second time to John Hughes's outfit. Sure the hosts were dogged and well organised, but Celtic with the players they've got, the money they've spent and the squad they've assembled really should be doing better.

The manager always carries the can for underperforming stars and that's what the Hoops have been all season. Sunday's defeat can't honestly come as a shock to anyone considering the season they've had and it's Lennon again who comes under the microscope.

Why did he have Ryan Christie, a midfielder, playing up front alongside Odsonne Edouard when he had £8.5million worth of strikers on the bench in Patryk Klimala and Albian Ajeti. Not to mention prolific Leigh Griffiths also sitting twiddling his thumbs.

Why, when you have a player as creative and good at set-pieces as David Turnbull is, do you have him playing short corners all evening? Why allow your loan signing from AC Milan to turn inside from left-back instead of charging for the byline?

The list of questions goes on. Lennon also didn't really cover himself in glory with his BBC interview after the game when he walked away from repeated questions about rebuilding the club. Though he did speak with Rob MacLean for a while before eventually walking away. Things just are not going right for Lennon right now.

2. Ryan Christie

Glasgow Times:

If not for his manager having another poor week, Christie would definitely top our DOWN list this weekend. Where do we start with this one? Absolutely dreadful miss in the first-half against County at 0-0 when Edouard cut the ball across for what should have been the easiest of tap-ins. You could argue that it bobbled, but honestly? I don't think it was a wild pass from the Frenchman, but it was a horrendous finish.

The playmaker has dug Celts out of a few holes this season including against Aberdeen and Hearts in the Scottish Cup, for example. But his performance against County was really inexcusable. He missed another terrific chance in the second-half as Celtic chased the game. His nutmeg on the defender was class, but he apparently got too over-excited and blazed his strikeover Ross Laidlaw's crossbar.

Can't honestly even say he did anything of note against Aberdeen as any sort of saving grace.

3. Diego Laxalt

What is it about this lad that has him terrified of heading for the byline to put in a cross? Greg Taylor has been criticised this season, and last, for his hesitancy to deliver for his teammates. The Scots left-back, however, appears to be working on that aspect of his game and has provided some good assists in recent weeks as a result.

Uruguayan Laxalt, though, looked like he'd ever been asked to cross a ball in his life. Whether it was over-hit rubbish or hitting the first man, the AC Milan loanee really flattered to deceive. He hadn't played since February 6 against Motherwell and probably wouldn't have been expecting Taylor to pull up injured.

But he definitely didn't take his chance and was caught napping at the goal, losing striker White at the back-post who went on to nod in the winner. Celtic fans will be hoping Taylor's injury isn't too serious.
