PRINICPAL Celtic shareholder Dermot Desmond today paid tribute to Neil Lennon after the Northern Irishman stood down as Parkhead manager.
Desmond lauded the 49-year-old's achievements during his second spell as boss and insisted he will always be regarded as a club legend.
The Irish financier admitted that finding somebody to take over from Lennon will be a difficult task.
“Neil is a Celtic legend both as a player and manager," said Desmond to the official Celtic website.
"He has given so much to the club and with his success over the last number of years – including winning a treble in his own right – he will be very difficult to replace.
“We thank Neil sincerely for all he has done for the club and we wish him every success going forward.”
