A woman was sexually assaulted at a train station on Saturday evening.
The victim was followed across the platform at Dalreoch Station in Dumbarton before the pervert launched his attack.
The incident took place as the woman was stood by the waiting shelter.
British Transport Police have launched a probe into the assault and are appealing to witnesses for any information.
The man was described as Asian, around 5ft6, between 30 and 35 years old and of average build.
He had a short dark beard and was wearing a grey woolly hat and a cream or beige winter jacket. He was described as speaking with an Indian accent.
A British Transport Police spokeswoman said: "Officers are appealing for witnesses following a sexual assault at Dalreoch station in Scotland.
"On Saturday, February 20 at 8pm, the victim was at the station when she was followed across the platform by a man and then sexually assaulted.
"Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, in particular a woman who spoke with the victim at the time before then boarding a train to Helensburgh.
"Any witnesses or anyone with information can contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 336 of 20/02/21.
"Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
