The two teenagers who tragically died in a car crash in Lanarkshire yesterday have been named by police.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Waverley Drive in Wishaw yesterday afternoon, following reports of a crash involving an off-road motorbike and a car.
Sadly, Derek Paton, 19, and Leon Fitzpatrick, 18, both died at the scene.
Police Scotland have confirmed Derek was the rider and Leon a pillion passenger on the off-road motorcycle involved in the accident.
The 34-year-old male driver of a white Volkswagen Crafter van also involved suffered minor injuries.
Police inquiries are ongoing into the incident.
