GLASGOW City Council have began the installation of a new temporary bike lane on Brockburn Road in Pollok as part of their 'Spaces For People' scheme.
The project has seen pavements widened and bike lanes installed in busy locations across the city, and Pollok will become the latest location for the lanes.
Glasgow City Council said: "The new cycle lanes which will be fitted with soft segregation where possible, will run in both directions between Peat Road and Crookston Road.
"The new cycle lanes will be formed by re-allocating from general traffic use, the inside running lane on both sides of Brockburn Road and dedicating them to active travel. The new cycle lanes will not affect access to any of the bus stops serving passengers at this location."
Work begins today, and will last for three weeks, with the bike lane being maintained for "at least 10 weeks".
